PenetrAct® is XUREX’s surface preparation aid for use with its nano coatings.
PenetrAct penetrates and activates the surface and subsurface matrix of metals and alloys, which maximizes the coating’s ability to penetrate into the substrates. The speed of surface preparation using PenetrAct is vastly increased as compared to conventional methods necessary for application of competitor’s coatings.
NOTE: There are different PenetrActs used with different alloys, for example: steel, aluminum, stainless, magnesium, copper, brass, fiberglass, etc. It is important that the alloy makeup of the substrate to be treated is identified.
Scanning Electron Microphotographs (SEM) show coating penetration into carbon steel up to 50% of its thickness. PenetrAct™ is specially formulated, allowing XUREX coatings to achieve deep penetration and a molecular bond resulting in a longer lasting and higher quality finish within and on the substrate.
